Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Summary

An Assistant Operations Technician will help the Specialist/Specialized controls technicians on various work orders. The Assistant will follow the direction of their assigned technician(s) to perform and complete those work orders. They will also help with changing motors and/or setting vent limits throughout the facility, along with other duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the order system to manage assigned work orders
• Ensure assigned work orders are completed in a timely fashion
• Troubleshoot problems in electrical control panels, sensors, and other automation hardware
• Respond to emails and phone calls to help support throughout other greenhouse issues
• Work with the team lead and follow duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment.

Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens.

Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to operating the table lifter and get certified and operate on internal vehicles. Candidate will also be regularly required to work at heights above 6 feet.

Employee must have the ability to life 35 pounds unaided, and regularly lift up to 80 pounds with assistance.
