Job summary

Intersurgical Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembly Supervisor in Indianapolis, IN to lead Team Leaders and Assembly Technicians. You will ensure production priorities are met, coordinate with managers, and supervise daily activities in a temperature-controlled, non-smoking facility.

The role requires supervisory experience, English proficiency, and the ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds. On-the-job training is provided along with opportunities for growth in a fast-growth medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred; or must have demonstrated good leadership and communication skills.
• Additional on-the-job training provided.
• Ability and comfortability with issuing disciplinary action.
• Consistency, consistent expectations of team members, accountability.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Temperature controlled facility with office and light manufacturing environment.
• Non-smoking.
• Safety hazards minimal with daily use of some chemicals.
• Company provided smock and hairnet mandatory in all controlled production areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of Team Leaders and Assembly Technicians to meet production requirements.
• Coordinate with Production Manager and Customer Service Manager on assembly requirements and priorities.
• Assign team members to assembly jobs as production schedule requires.
• Train team leaders in work methods and procedures.
• Routinely inspect production areas for conformance to procedures.
• Ensure paperwork and parts logging are accurate.
• Log out and log in parts and materials for team members.
• Monitor assembly efficiency rates.
• Coordinate equipment repairs with Process Engineer.
• Address quality concerns with Production and Quality Managers.
• Participate in production and supervisor meetings.
• Coordinate staffing with Production Manager or HR designee.
• Develop effective training programs with HR.
• Maintain safety and process adherence; enforce policies.
• Maintain training records for team members.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
