Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to present information effectively in small group settings
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to follow written or oral instructions
• Ability to handle problems with concrete variables in standard situations

Responsibilities

• Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials to meet production goals.
• Examine finished items to ensure they meet specifications.
• Position parts using drawings/BOMs.
• Operate drill presses and other power tools; fasten parts with bolts, screws, and clips.
• Adjust procedures to meet production schedules and quotas.
• Maintain multi-station versatility to cover different tasks as needed.
• Assist with training of new employees and meet Advanced Assembler requirements.
• Strive to continuously improve methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S work environment.
• Apply Lean methodologies to control and improve processes.
