Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a QG & PDI Assembly Auditor for the 2nd shift in Lafayette, Indiana. The role audits engines at multiple build stages, records non-conformances, and communicates issues for repair. You will collaborate with assembly teams to ensure quality and may rotate through different quality gates.

The position requires BAT training, gauging and print-reading skills, basic computer skills, and a flexible attitude to overtime. Health, 401(k), PTO, and holidays are offered.

Responsibilities

• Audit engines for compliance to the appropriate documentation.
• Accurately record engine non-conformances in the AQE system.
• Communicate found engine non-conformances to the appropriate person for repair.
• Work closely with assembly personnel, support groups, and assembly management to meet product quality goals.
• Rotate through various quality gates and train in multiple areas.
