Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an Assembler/Painter – 2nd Shift in York, PA. The role focuses on spray painting and assembling components for Air Handling Units in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will use spray equipment to apply paint and primers, select colors, prep surfaces, mask areas, and ensure proper coverage and paint thickness. Maintains supplies and related equipment while upholding safety rules and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have current forklift license and be certified for Respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Use spray equipment to apply paint and primers.
• Select paint color for specific jobs.
• Prepare surfaces, mask as required, and paint.
• Clean, wipe up excess paint, remove masking, check for runs and coverage.
• Mix, thin, and prepare paints for application.
• Maintain paint supplies and related equipment.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work area (paint kitchen, booth, surrounding areas).
• Assemble Air Handling Units depending on paint workload and related components.
• Report work-related injuries and near misses to supervision.
• Wear all required PPE and follow safety/environmental rules.
