Do you have experience ina similar position, above-average surface mount, and fine pitch soldering?

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Oldsmar, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Use a microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering, and perform post-reflow inspection and touch-up.
  • Identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts/leads, tombstone or billboarded components, and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Hours: 4/10-2nd Shift. Mon-Thurs 3:30 PM-2:00 AM

Length: Temp (12 Months).

Job Requirements




Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, above-average surface mount, and fine pitch soldering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in reading and interpreting assembly drawings.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Blueprint Reading, IPC-A-610, and IPC-J-STD.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
  • Have basic computer skills and can use several Windows-based programs as part of your daily routine.
  • Able to read and write English.
  • Good communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for long periods for inspection/solder repair.
  • Experience working in a LEAN Manufacturing environment.
  • Good leadership, mentoring, and training aptitude.
  • IPC-610 Certification.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
  • Circuit Cards.
  • Experience with visual acuity in working with microscopes.
  • Surface Mount Technology.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where some overtime may be needed.
  • Able to sit for long periods and focus on tedious tasks.
