Job summary

FPL Food LLC seeks a 2nd Shift Ammonia Refrigeration Technician in Thomasville, GA to maintain the RKF refrigeration system. You will work with the maintenance team to ensure quality and machine reliability, providing technical knowledge in ammonia systems and coordinating with engineering and operations.

The role requires experience in NH3/refrigeration, boiler and mechanical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of NH3 and Freon systems.
• Boiler treatment and operation knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-oriented in all operations.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machinery electrically and in ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Promote a safe working environment and GMP compliance.
• Conduct mechanical overhauls and repairs on compressors and related equipment.
• Report progress and issues to supervisors and engineers.
• Coordinate multiple ammonia refrigeration and maintenance activities concurrently.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
