Job summary

Vartan Aero in Renton, WA is hiring aircraft mechanics with strong mechanical aptitude for full-time, permanent work. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, performing structural and cosmetic rework, electrical tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in a fast-paced setting near Boeing and major clients.

You will report progress to customers, manage parts as needed, and document all activities in the internal system.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check, drug screen, and obtain Boeing badge and passport.
• Able to work second shift with OT and travel as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal software.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders or stairs.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications and work instructions.
• Provide status updates to customers verbally and in writing in a timely, professional manner.
• Perform mechanical rework of non-conformities including installation, calibration, and modification.
• Maintain a FOD-free environment and control of materials and tools.
• Perform drilling, thread cutting, rivet work, and use measuring tools.
• Carry out cosmetic rework on interior cabin components and sealing.
• Perform electrical rework including bonding, grounding, harness installation.
• Apply sealants and perform wet fastener installation on interior and exterior components.
• Verify and order parts and standards as needed.
• Document all work daily in internal database.
