Job description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Assembly Mechanic to join our team in Renton, WA. In this role, you will assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision structural and system components for aircraft. You will work from technical drawings, process specifications, and quality control requirements to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and seal structural and system components according to engineering drawings and process specifications.
  • Perform functional tests and correct fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.
  • Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and verbal/electronic sources.
  • Use shop mathematics and precision measuring/test instruments to complete assignments and perform functional tests.
  • Utilize a variety of tools in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
  • Verify completed work meets process and engineering specifications; identify and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure equipment and tool certification is maintained per procedures.
  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance (e.g., replacing filters, changing bulbs, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels).
  • Move products within the manufacturing work area using assigned equipment and complete necessary transactions.
  • Perform work within allotted schedules and support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in training other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
  • Crosstrain in inspection and become SIA qualified.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all general functions of the Assembly Mechanic role, including Assembly/Installation, Structures, Sub-Assembly, and Sealing.
