Job summary

Johnson Controls in Marinette is seeking a Deep Draw/Udylite Operator to set up and run deep draw, trimming, piercing, and Udylite systems. You’ll ensure up-time, calibrate test equipment, and maintain quality samples for production lines. Training is provided; safety and precise procedures are required.

The role requires 18+ with a high school diploma, good judgment, and the ability to stand many hours. Prior experience with automated equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Good Judgment.
• Most duties require standing and walking.
• Able to continuously handle 3-10 pound blanks and shells.
• Able to bend and work in awkward positions.
• Prefer related experience with computerized automation equipment.
• Prefer experience setting up and operating semi- and fully-automated machines.
• Knowledge of basic mechanics and mathematics; with demonstrated analytical skills.
• Experience with testing and gauging equipment; including maintenance of the equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance tasks and equipment setups.
• Ability to read and interpret prints/work instructions/setup instructions/control plans.
• Demonstrated ability to complete all required documentation and communicate with supervision/engineering/management.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
• Demonstrated computer skills and experience with software packages.
• Willing to cross train in all other Machine Operator IV roles.

Responsibilities

• Sets up deep draw machine with tooling and dies.
• Starts up deep draw machine; checks oil levels and pressures.
• Inserts blanks; checks material quality.
• Inspects shells; prevents metal build-up on dies.
• Maintains press/dies; polishes tooling as needed.
• Changes tooling for deep draw, trimming, piercing.
• Performs maintenance: filters, lights, oil/sludge.
• Adjusts conveyor and guides, fabricates guides as needed.
