Job Description

Signature Graphics is a locally-owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington with approximately 150 employees. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for a Press Operator to operate our Cold- and Heat-set Web Offset Printing presses at our Spokane (Airway Heights) plant.

The 2 nd Press Operator/Roll Tender assists with the operation of the Cold- and Heat-set Web Offset Printing presses with make-readies, running press equipment operations, performing quality control functions and enforcing the safety rules. This position will assist in directing the work activities of the press crew members to ensure productivity, quality and safety goals are met. This position also must have at least 5 years of experience on multiple web, four-color cold- and heat-set press and thorough knowledge of Web Press printing processes.

COMPENSATION: Non-exempt (hourly) wage

Basic Qualifications

• Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience as a 2 nd Press Operator/Roll Tender on multi-web, four-color coldest and/or heatset offset presses
• Must have general knowledge of Web Press printing processes
• Must follow safety guidelines at all times
• Must regularly lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
• Basic proficiency in English
