Base pay range

$101,000.00/yr - $152,000.00/yr

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Party Quality Assurance Manager to join our Metaverse Content Ops team. Reporting to the QA Lead, this role will drive day-to-day execution of our QA program, and communication with our developers and QA vendors while advocating for a high-quality bar across multiple titles and platforms. Working directly with our external QA partners, you will manage the QA processes for new hardware launches, drive improvements in game testing processes, and report on our project metrics to measure our success.

2nd Party Content QA Manager Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the QA Lead, Content Owners, and external developers to deliver high-quality functional releases from Alpha/Beta stages through to launch, ensuring seamless execution, timely delivery, and exceptional quality standards, while fostering open communication and effective issue resolution
  • Effectively manage and coordinate multiple project titles in various stages of the QA process, ensuring timely completion, high-quality standards, and seamless execution across all projects, while prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and mitigating risks
  • Manage the entire QA process, partnering with distributed third-party test vendors to manage and execute comprehensive testing efforts, ensuring titles progress smoothly from QA entry through to successful launch, while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting project timelines
  • Participate in recurring project sync meetings with key stakeholders, including content owners, development teams, and test vendors, to ensure alignment, share updates, and facilitate open communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Play a pivotal role in attending triage/ risk assessment meetings, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and driving the development of high-quality products to successful launch, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting business objectives
  • Ensure that project data tracking tools, such as project management software and databases, are up-to-date and contain the most relevant, accurate, and current project information to support informed decision-making and effective project execution
  • Work closely with multiple internal stakeholders, including marketing, communications, software, hardware, and content teams, to drive business objectives, share knowledge, and leverage expertise to achieve common goals
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identify areas for enhancement, and suggest innovative solutions to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and drive business growth
  • Effectively deliver and receive 360-degree feedback to management, peers, and partners, fostering open communication, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Actively engage with our platform by spending time using the headset to experience managed titles and participate in dogfooding activities, providing valuable feedback and insights to inform product development and quality assurance efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance project management, with a track record of successfully planning, executing, and delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget
  • 1+ years of experience working with external vendors and developers, with a track record of successfully managing relationships, communicating project requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools, specifically Jira and Testrail, to identify, report, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with the entire quality assurance lifecycle, from planning and testing to deployment and maintenance, with a proven understanding of end-to-end QA processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with the entire video game production lifecycle, from concept and pre-production to development, testing, launch, and post-launch support
  • Knowledge of third-party compliance and certification testing, including industry standards, regulations, and testing protocols to ensure software meets required certifications and compliances
  • Proven experience communicating with leadership, cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Possess familiarity with a wide range of games, apps, VR experiences, and popular platforms, including industry trends, user behaviors, and technical

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in VR
  • Platform QA and new hardware development experience
  • Experience with multiple genres of PC and/or console games
  • Experience with multiple bug tracking databases
  • Experience scaling QA teams and operations
  • Experience with Compliance and Certification testing
