Job summary

Sweetwater ISD in Texas seeks a dedicated 2nd Grade Reading Teacher for East Ridge to develop foundational literacy, including phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension, building strong readers from the start.

The teacher will deliver standards-aligned instruction, use structured literacy practices, and analyze data to guide instruction while collaborating in PLCs and with families to support all learners in a safe, engaging literacy-rich classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Texas Core Subjects EC–6 teaching certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of early literacy development and the science of reading.
• Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies preferred.

Position Overview
