Job Overview

The teacher is a qualified professional who meets the requirements to teach in a Catholic school. As a representative of the Catholic Church, the teacher acts as a role model and fulfills various responsibilities that communicate the Church’s message to students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings
  • Serve as a role model for religious formation and represent the Archbishop and Catholic Church
  • Align teaching with the mission, philosophy, and policies of the Catholic school
  • Complete required Catholic identity training and professional development
  • Lead or participate in religious activities as directed
  • Maintain communication with students, parents, colleagues, and the principal
  • Participate in professional development and school meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and a safe learning environment
  • Participate in performance reviews and uphold confidentiality
  • Represent the school positively at events and in the community

Compensation

The annual salary range is $37,000 - $67,000 for lay teachers and $34,000 - $61,000 for religious teachers, based on experience and qualifications. The Archdiocese offers comprehensive benefits.
