BASIS Benbrook is seeking qualified candidates for a 2nd Grade Teacher to join our passionate team for the 2025/2026 School Year. As a BASIS Ed Elementary Learning Expert Teacher, you will leverage your expertise to address the differentiated needs of your students. Collaborate with Subject Expert Teachers who handle main instruction, allowing you to focus on individual student outcomes and needs.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Demonstrated passion for student achievement and efforts to improve student outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an elementary educator
• Strong communication skills
• Openness to new teaching methods

Role in Our Co-Teaching Model

Our K-3 classrooms are co-taught by two elementary teachers who collaborate with students continuously. Learning Expert Teachers (LETs) foster a joyful learning environment, tailor education to meet individual needs, and believe in every child's potential to excel.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Lead a cohort of students through daily classroom transitions
• Collaborate with Subject Expert Teachers for each class period
• Provide individualized or small group instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Maintain standards of student behavior to ensure a productive learning environment
