  • Establish open communication with parents and staff.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and staff development activities.

Job description

Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Be a positive role model by maintaining and modeling an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Teach all subjects from Biblical Worldview.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school’s curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
  • Prepare lessons that reflect different student learning styles.
  • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
  • Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to school requirements and learner’s needs.
  • Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
  • Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social , and emotional development of students.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and Student Handbook.
  • Establish and maintain open communication by effective, professionally written communication and by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
  • Participate in staff development activities to improve job related skills.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Assume responsibility for duties as needed throughout the day.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Valid teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behaviorStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
