Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Meet Texas “highly qualified” standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets individual needs, interests and abilities.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for individual differences.
• Prepare for classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourage students to meet classroom behavior standards.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives.
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Refer students for evaluation as required.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and regulations.
• Develop classroom rules and maintain order.
• Coordinate with staff and assist with mentorship and duties.
