Job summary

Stillwater Area Public Schools is seeking a Custodian VI for Bayport Elementary. The role involves cleaning and upkeep of the building and grounds to maintain a safe, clean environment for staff, students, and the community.

You may serve as Head Engineer when the supervisor is away and help ensure operating excellence. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Special boiler license, and the ability to obtain a Minnesota unlicensed electrician license within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent accepted.
• Special boiler license is required at the time of hire.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota unlicensed electrician license within 6 months.
• One year of custodial experience in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• To assist in the cleaning and upkeep of assigned building(s) and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment.
• Serves as Head Engineer in the absence of the lead.
• Maintain facilities in good repair, respond to basic maintenance requests, and support school operations.

Job Title:

Custodian VI BShift 8 hours per day Bayport Elementary

Job Summary:

To assist in the cleaning and upkeep of assigned building(s) and grounds, to ensure a condition of operating excellence in order to provide a quality education and a safe and clean environment for all staff, students, and community members. Serves as Head Engineer in their absence.

FTE/Hours per Day:

8.0 hours per day, 52 weeks per year, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A Special boiler license is required at the time of hire.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota unlicensed electrician license within 6 months.
• One year of custodial experience in educational settings is preferred.

Salary/Wage Information:

The hourly rate range for this position is $21.72- 26.70. A generous insurance plan is also included. See attached terms and conditions of employment for more information.
