You’re a hands-on leader passionate about turf care and eager to advance your career in agronomy. As our 2nd Assistant Superintendent, you'll collaborate closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to oversee daily operations and promote the course's long-term health. About Wild Spring Dunes

Wild Spring Dunes is a public golf resort and refuge featuring world-class golf, accommodations, and homesites. The resort includes two courses with plans for a short course and a practice center.

Located on over 2,400 sandy, secluded acres, the site offers dramatic elevation changes across four distinct ecosystems: towering pines and hardwood forests, open meadows, rolling hills, and steep ravines carved by spring-fed creeks. Wild Spring Dunes is a destination for golf and wilderness enthusiasts seeking community and connection.

What You’ll Do

1. Assist in managing daily course maintenance activities such as mowing, rolling, course setup, hand watering, bunker work, tree care, and other tasks essential to course excellence.
2. Apply fertilizers and chemicals accurately, with necessary certifications.
3. Maintain and repair the irrigation system, including sprinkler and valve repairs, pipe work, electrical troubleshooting, pump station maintenance, recordkeeping, and operating the Toro Lynx system.
4. Support agronomic planning, drainage projects, and problem-solving initiatives beyond routine manual tasks.

What You Bring

1. 2-4 year degree or certificate in turfgrass management or a related field.
2. At least 1 year of experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping.
3. Eligibility for a Texas pesticide applicator's license.
4. Valid driver’s license.
5. Ability to operate golf course equipment proficiently.
6. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Problem-solving abilities; capacity to handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; flexibility to work nights and weekends.
8. Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and appearance in all situations.
