Job summary

Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, AZ, is seeking a full-time 2nd Assistant Superintendent. You will support daily maintenance operations, safety, and compliance for chemical applications and equipment, while supervising staff and coordinating training.

The role requires a relevant degree (agronomy/ horticulture/ soil science) and 3–4 years of related experience, with a focus on safety, MSDS, and regulatory adherence. Competitive benefits are provided by Troon and the club.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant science, or soil science (degree preference).
• Three to four years of related experience or training (degree considered).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine safety inspections on spraying and fertilizer equipment.
• Reads and keeps MSDS current; maintains chemical storage in compliance with regulations.
• Supports supervision and training of associates; assists with interviewing, hiring, and planning.
• Ensures licenses and compliance with city, state, and federal regulations; addresses environmental concerns.
• Monitors manpower, productivity, costs, and training programs; ensures safe work practices and reliable attendance.
