The 2nd Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the total operation of the assigned Pump & Pantry locations in the absence of the Manager or 1st Assistant Manager, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Be proficient in opening and closing shifts, including completing all paperwork.
- Meet customer needs and enforce the company's customer service policies.
- Supervise cash control and bank deposits.
- Assist in ensuring employees follow proper procedures for food operations and handling/storage, complying with all regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Project a positive attitude.
- Provide friendly and competent customer service.
- Report to work on time as scheduled.
- Handle issues related to customers, personnel, or mechanical problems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store to meet company standards.
- Ensure proper ordering, stocking, and pricing of items.
- Assist in training staff in food handling and company procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, coding, and temperature control of food products.
- Ensure shifts are adequately covered.
- Maintain proper uniform and appearance standards.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance, customer, or personnel issues to management.
- Keep necessary records related to merchandise, personnel, and fuel.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Attend required meetings and training.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise 4 to 16 employees in each Pump & Pantry location.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent. Must have a Food Handler’s permit or Serve Safe Certification where required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability for at least three 2nd shifts per week opposite the manager.
- Reliable transportation and phone.
- Consistent attendance.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Willingness to deliver friendly, courteous service and work cooperatively with team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.; stand for long periods; frequently walk, use hands, reach; occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
