Job summary

Victaulic, a leader in mechanical pipe joining solutions, is hiring 2nd & 3rd shift Operators/Assemblers in Lower Nazareth, PA. You will assemble/disassemble, load/unload on conveyors, and occasionally apply powder paint as part of the Operations/Manufacturing team.

Expect to operate and monitor machines, follow SOPs, and perform routine setup/material handling with occasional minor troubleshooting. Forklift operations may be required for material handling.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Able to lift 5–50 pounds (typical 5–40) and stand for extended periods.
• Willing to work daily and weekend overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and tend assembly machines; clear faults on automated lines.
• Follow SOPs to maintain consistent product quality.

THE ROLE

We’re hiring Assemblers/Operators at our Commerce Park facility. You’ll be responsible for assembling and disassembling products manually or using automated equipment, loading and unloading products onto an overhead conveyor line, loading and unloading parts into fitting racks, and manual application of powder paint from time to time as part of our Operations/Manufacturing team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Operating, monitoring, and tending to assembly machines, including clearing faults on automated machines. Assembling and disassembling parts using hand/power tools
• Following standard operating procedures to maintain consistent product quality
• Operate, monitor and inspect tools, dip tanks, paint lines, impregnators, and other related equipment to produce a finished product, to assist or accomplish the set-up and material handling as necessary, to perform minor troubleshooting, to provide efficient productivity; to perform necessary cleaning, to remove garbage and waste materials from the work area as required, to perform any related duties as determined by Supervision.
• Operate PIV’s (powered industrial vehicles; forklifts and/or walk behind forklift).
• Pack, inspect, prepare for shipment/transfer all products and/or material as necessary.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Must be able to lift weights ranging from 5 to 50 pounds, with a typical lifting range of 5 to 40 pounds
• The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to be stationary for at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors
• Normal weekly schedule is 40 hours, Monday – Friday 8 hours per day
• Employees must be willing to work daily and weekend overtime as business conditions require. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week

COMPENSATION

The hourly pay rate for this position is $21.81 per hour. This role may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, and the full benefits package described above.
