Job summary

Alsum Farms & Produce Inc. in Friesland, WI is seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

You will perform maintenance on large production machinery, keep repair records, and ensure machines operate reliably to support field-to-fork potato and onion production for American tables. Essential duties include preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubricating equipment, recording parts needs, installing replacements, diagnosing breakdowns, and using CMMS/HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
• 2nd and 3rd shift maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience using CMMS and HRIS systems.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
• Lubricates machines to ensure effective performance
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts to be ordered
• Installs replacement parts for machines
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently
• Uses CMMS for documenting work performed
• Maintains a clean, organized store room and shop areas, tools, and supplies
• Coordinates with manager to schedule regular maintenance
• Collaborates with Maintenance manager regarding new products and modifications
• Makes modifications and testing on equipment; discusses results with production manager
• Performs other related duties as assigned
