Anchor Fabrication has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Forklift Operator in our Coatings department.

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator’s role is to move products, materials, or equipment, meeting or exceeding customer specifications and productivity requirements. They are highly motivated and eager to work in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, supporting our company’s continued growth.

Occasional contact with customers or prospective customers

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform daily safety and operational checks (battery, seat belt, brakes, fire extinguisher).
  • Identify raw materials, in-process, or finished products, and equipment.
  • Verify material identification against schedules for accuracy.
  • Safely transport materials to designated areas.
  • Report inconsistencies or issues to supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience in manufacturing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Clean driving record with no recent property damage accidents.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to handle equipment safely.
  • High attention to safety to prevent injuries.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with sheet metal.
  • Satisfactory completion of in-company forklift certification.
Environment/Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a fabrication shop environment with physical requirements including lifting up to 100 lbs, standing for prolonged periods, and exposure to shop elements like noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
