This internship position is for current 2L law student applicantswho have completed one full year of law school prior to theirinternship start date.

Our 2L internship program offers law students a unique opportunity to conductmeaningful work on real criminal cases. Working alongside our experiencedprosecutors, interns can expect to become involved in all aspects of criminalprosecution from the investigative stage through trial. This will includecases involving murder, sexual assault, aggravated robbery, and other violentcrime. Interns will have opportunities to research novel and interestinglegal issues, assist in drafting corresponding pleadings, observe courtroomproceedings where those issues are litigated, review new felony filings forpotential evidentiary challenges, and preparing exhibits for trial.
Our 2L internship program is designed for law studentscontemplating a career in criminal prosecution. We train and mentor our2L interns with the goal of preparing them to return as 3L interns working andtrying cases under the Student Practice Act. Our 3L interns are trainedand mentored with the goal of returning to our office as deputy districtattorneys.
Earn pay, law school credit, or both. We pay interns an hourly wage of $21.
