Job summary

2K Games is launching its Engineering Graduate Program in 2027, with a 21‑month path across Dublin, Vancouver, and US offices. Participants rotate through Hangar 13, Visual Concepts, Firaxis, HB Studios, Gearbox, and more to contribute to AAA titles while learning core game-development skills.

Qualifications

Program Overview

The Engineering Graduate Program starts July 2027. Based out of our Dublin, Vancouver and US offices, launch your career in game development over a 21 month period.

  • Foundation Training (3 Months): Master game development fundamentals using industry-standard engines, engage in instructor‑led projects, receive guided feedback & reviews, and develop essential soft skills for working in a studio environment.
  • Studio Rotations (18 Months): Complete 3 rotations across 2K studios (such as Hangar 13, Visual Concepts, Firaxis, HB Studios, Gearbox, and more), contributing directly to AAA titles.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to build and support game features across our titles.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, primarily in C++ & in the Unreal Engine.
  • Participate in instructor‑led group projects, technical workshops, and guided reviews.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems across diverse engineering platforms and game engines.
  • Adapt quickly to varied studio workflows, version control tools (e.g., Perforce), and game release timelines.

Who You Are

  • Graduated between January 2025 and July 2027 with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
  • Experience with the use of Unreal Engine, which will be evaluated during the assessment process.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
  • Solid debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, curious learner with a genuine passion for gaming and technology.
