Job summary

SaniSure is seeking a Drafting Quality Engineer in Camarillo, CA, to review and validate 2D drawings before release to production. The role focuses on catching errors early, improving drafting practices, and reducing post-release changes to enhance customer confidence.

Key duties include verifying customer-signed drawings, ensuring unit consistency, and maintaining detailed logs of corrections. Bachelor’s in engineering with GD&T/ASQ credentials are preferred; SolidWorks and ERP tools are used

Qualifications

• Experience reading and reviewing mechanical/engineering 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SyteLine or similar) and PDF markup tools (Adobe PDF).
• Strong understanding of complex design tolerance stack-up and process optimization principles.

Responsibilities

• Review 2D drawings prior to release to production and mark up errors.
• Verify matching customer-signed drawings and template units.
• Ensure material callouts and part descriptions are correct.
• Confirm components are not obsolete and dimensions are fully specified.
• Maintain a drawing error log with rationale and actions.
• Provide status updates to internal stakeholders and suggest drafting improvements.
