Job Description

Industrial Design is looking to fill the role of AutoCAD 2D drafter to work with our Layout IE Support team. The candidate will provide direct drafting and as-building support to our customer's Industrial Engineering team. In this role, the candidate will work on semiconductor factory layout projects, producing "what if" scenario drawings that explore different equipment installation configurations within an active facility. The Industrial Engineer will guide overall space utilization and equipment placement, while the support drafter creates electronic 2D AutoCAD drawings used in presentations, work groups, and for integration into master drawings.

Field as-built work is occasionally required to validate existing factory conditions, identify available space, develop equipment blocks, and determine locations of existing equipment. Most of this work occurs inside semiconductor manufacturing cleanrooms (class 100 to 100,000), as well as labs and offices.

This is a full-time, long-term, in-person position.

Strong AutoCAD skills are required; extensive role-specific training will be provided.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Several years of 2D AutoCAD drafting experience, familiarity with X-refs, blocks, attributes, and layer management. All drafting is done in 2D AutoCAD due to contractual agreements.
• Experience with dynamic blocks (a plus, not required).
• Experience with support drafting related to light industrial, piping, electrical, or structural designs (a plus, not required).
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in office software applications.
• A positive attitude towards learning and stepping outside of comfort zones.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
