This work is for our OPx product line, it is a cloud-based application written in Java that interface with users on one side and remote computing devices running a mix of windows and Linux on the other side.

It allows the users to plan the content to be displayed on the electronic signs that our client manufactures. The schedule and content is sent to the remote computing devices physically connected to the signs, they interpret it and render the content on the sign as per the schedule. These remote computing devices periodically report back their status to the backend periodically. Apache Mina is in use on the link between backend and remote devices. The status received by the backend is updated into the DB (MySQL) via Hibernate.
