North Hudson Academy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher - High School Mathematics to join our private school in North Bergen, NJ. You will deliver high school math instruction to students with disabilities in a supportive, therapeutic setting.

You will align instruction with state standards, adapt curricula and assessments, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and collaborate with related service providers to maximize student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education, Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification AND Teacher of Mathematics
• Experience with children with disabilities
• Must be able to read, write and understand English

North Hudson Academy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher - High School Mathematics to join our team full-time, Teaching high school students with special needs in a private special education setting in a New Jersey Department of Education approved private special education school, serving students from PreK through high school. We specialize in programs for students with behavioral/emotional issues, pre-school handicapped and learners on the Autism Spectrum.

Position Summary:

The Special Education Teacher - High School Mathematics provides specialized instruction to high school students with disabilities while implementing IEP goals, developing math curriculum aligned to state standards, and fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in a supportive therapeutic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:
