First Children Services in North Hudson Academy, New Jersey, seeks a Special Education Teacher for High School Mathematics to join our private school team full-time. You will develop math curriculum aligned to state standards, implement IEP goals, and support students with disabilities in a therapeutic setting.

Qualifications include NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Students with Disabilities and Teacher of Mathematics, plus experience with students who have disabilities.

Qualifications

Full-Time | Exempt, M-F, 7:15-2:15pm

Compensation Range: $61,000-$80,000/annually

North Hudson Academy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher - High School Mathematics to join our team full-time, Teaching high school students with special needs in a private special education setting in a New Jersey Department of Education approved private special education school, serving students from PreK through high school. We specialize in programs for students with behavioral/emotional issues, pre-school handicapped and learners on the Autism Spectrum.

Position Summary:

The Special Education Teacher - High School Mathematics provides specialized instruction to high school students with disabilities while implementing IEP goals, developing math curriculum aligned to state standards, and fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in a supportive therapeutic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver high school mathematics instruction aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
• Modify curriculum and assessments to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and IEP goals.
• Collaborate with related service providers and classroom support staff to maximize student success.
