Job summary

AdvantEdge Technology, Inc. is seeking a part-time, on-site Systems Engineer to support the ALOFT Task Order. The role focuses on evaluating engineering changes, provisioning impacts, and maintaining shipboard combat system documentation under NAVSEA guidance.

Expertise in Aegis Weapon Systems, navy testing, in-service engineering, and logistics support is essential. You will work closely with program offices and design agents to ensure timely engineering updates and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10 years of related experience.
• Review Engineering Changes and assess provisioning impact.
• Experience with equipment engineering changes, maintenance procedures, and technical manuals for Aegis Weapon Systems.
• Knowledge of COTS Technology Refresh Programs, Engineering Change Process, and ORDALT planning.
• Experience in Navy test/analysis, in-service engineering, and logistics support for shipboard combat systems.
• Ability to interface with NAVSEA managers, design agents, PEO program and project offices.
• Analyze design changes' effects on the combat system and provide recommendations in working groups.
• Analyze and recommend mechanical/electrical design changes impacting technical manuals.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, project planning, and organization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to present at formal program reviews.
• Ability to work independently, produce professional documents, information management and analysis.
• Develop workable project schedules for complex, time-sensitive tasks.
• Able to pass background check and obtain security clearance.
• Follow company policies and procedures; write and understand English and produce clear reports.

Role and Responsibilities:

Part Time, on-site position supporting the ALOFT Task Order providing Systems Engineering support for D24 Technical Code.

Position Qualifications:

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar discipline and ten (10) years of directlyrelated experience.
• Must be able to review Engineering Changes and determine the impact on provisioning.
• Must have experience in equipment engineering changes, maintenance procedures, and technical manual changes for Aegis Weapon Systems.
• Must have extensive knowledge in the COTS Technology Refresh Programs, Engineering ChangeProcess and Ship Alterations/ORDALT planning.
• Must have experience in Navy test and analysis, in-service engineering and logistics support ofshipboard combat systems.
• Must be able to interface and provide work status to various NAVSEA managers, design agents,PEO Program and Project Offices.
• Must be able to analyzed the effects of design changes to the combat system and providerecommendations in engineering working groups.
• Must be able to analyze and recommend mechanical and electrical design changes for impact totechnical manuals.
• Must have strong analytical, problem solving, project planning and organization skills.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and able to present at formalprogram reviews.
