Working Mon-Fri dayshift (36hours p/w). Working outdoors and on your feet in all types of weather. Breaks allocated by supervisor (not flexible). Role involves dealing on the front line with patients/visitors/staff/emergency services/taxis attending site by car, given the limited parking capacity on NHS Lothian sites; friction can be encountered on a daily basis. Ability to make decisions at short notice to support safe parking and direct cars/buses/ambulance/fire brigade in emergency situations. Act as banksman to support larger vehicles and work alongside security colleagues to ensure site is assessable.
