Job summary

Ezway Delivery in Joplin, MO seeks a Box Truck Driver to perform daily home and business deliveries. This role starts and ends at Warehouse WMO1, with responsibility for loading/unloading, navigation, and on-time route execution.

The position requires a Missouri Class E license, prior box truck experience, and ability to pass DOT checks. Candidates should be self-motivated, dependable, and able to work weekends and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Missouri Class E (non-CDL) license required.
• Experience driving 26-foot box trucks or similar vehicles.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing.
• Familiarity with FMCSA Hours-of-Service rules.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive loading tasks.
• Comfort using a smartphone/tablet for routing and confirmations.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT-required pre-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, cargo security).
• Load and unload packages securely.
• Follow GPS directions and scheduled stops with care.
• Deliver courteous, professional service to customers.
• Maintain truck cleanliness, fueling, and report maintenance issues.
• Keep accurate logs in the ELD system and report delays or safety concerns.

Job Description

Shift: Average 8-hour shifts; schedule runs seven days a week (including weekends)

As a 26 Box Truck Driver at Ezway Delivery, you’ll ensure that customer. Pack moves safely and on-time. You’ll start and end each shift at Warehouse WMO1, perform your own loading/unloading, and follow a GPS-coordinated route through our service area.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Trip Inspection: Conduct DOT-required safety checks (brakes, lights, tires, secure cargo, etc.)
• Load & Unload: Secure packages and freight with straps or load bars in your truck
• Follow Your Route: Adhere to GPS directions, planned stops, and all traffic laws
• Deliver with Care: Provide professional, courteous service at every delivery
• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep your box truck clean, fueled, and report any maintenance issues immediately
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs in the ELD system, report delays or safety concerns to management

Qualifications

As a Box Truck Delivery Driver, You’ll Need:

• Driver’s License: Valid Missouri Class E (non-CDL) driver’s license (or equivalent state license)
• Experience: Prior experience driving 26 box trucks, U-Haul, or similar vehicles
• DOT Compliance: Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical, drug & alcohol testing, and hold a current medical card
• Regulations Knowledge: Familiarity with FMCSA Hours-of-Service rules and use of Electronic Logging Devices
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift and carry freight up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive loading tasks
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for routing and delivery confirmations
• Work Ethic: Self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
