Job summary

Cimarron Springs Middle School in Surprise, AZ is seeking a part-time School Aide (CSMS) to support daily school operations under the Principal. This 0.65 FTE non-benefited position runs on a 185-day calendar.

SUMMARY:To contribute to the efficient operation of a school site so that it can effectively contribute to the educational process of the school.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise students while in cafeteria and on playground.
• Assist as needed on the school campus.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
• Providing front office support and answering telephone.
• Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
• Assigned to on-campus reassignment room (OCR).
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in working with school age children preferred.

LICENSING:

• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Standard practices, methods and materials of assigned work.
• Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices.
• Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor, outdoor and classroom environment including exposure to loud noise and being on your feet.

Cimarron Springs Middle School is a 5th through 8th grade school in the Dysart Unified School District. The school opened in 2004 and was initially a K-8 school but transitioned to a Middle School in 2021.
