Job summary

Blackstone Valley Prep is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students at our Cumberland campus. This role offers full-time or part-time options and a step-based compensation with a $5,000 addition.

The ideal candidate will hold a Rhode Island certification for SLP, be experienced with children, and, ideally, be bilingual in English and Spanish. CPI certification is a plus, and collaboration with teachers and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island certificate as SLP required by hire date.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• CPI certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to classroom teachers on language development.
• Assist teachers and aides in developing language-based activities.
• Assist parents in learning ways to increase language stimulation at home.
• Provide individual services to children with speech and language disabilities.
• Assess needs in speech and language and prepare diagnostic reports.
• Serve on a team developing an individual education program for students.
• Other duties as required by the Special Education Administrator.

Additional Responsibilities
