Job summary

Maury County Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Head Coach to support the head coach in enforcing athletic policies and maintaining safe, fair competition. You will supervise student athletes, ensure proper locker room conduct, and promote sportsmanship across all activities.

The role requires adherence to school and athletic association rules, collaboration with the Maury County School Board, and readiness to perform additional duties as assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications

• Assist the head coach in verifying that athletes adhere to the rules and regulations set by the TSSAA/TMSAA or other applicable athletic association, the Maury County School Board and all building-level policies and procedures and report any violations to the appropriate party.
• Ensure supervision of all student athletes at all times. An adult should be in the locker room when athletes are in the locker room and remain until all athletes have left the locker room.
• Provide the proper environment for the safety and health of the athletes, including the prevention of and proper care of injuries.
• Perform any duties deemed necessary by the head coach
• Understands the proper administrative chain of command and refers all student and parent requests or grievances through proper channels
• Conducts self before the students and the community to instill respect and good sportsmanship.
• Other duties as assigned.
