TITLE: Plumber Apprentice I

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of high school and work experience in plumbing or related field or attendance of technical trade school for plumbing or related coursework preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under the guidance of a skilled licensed plumber to perform specific or general duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The employee must be able to demonstrate the following physical demands to safely and productively perform the essential functions of the Plumber position.
• The job requires constant walking/standing on level and uneven terrains and material handling/tool use; frequent work from below grade to overhead, climbing and pushing/pulling; and occasional sitting/driving.
• The employee must be able to lift/carry 20 lbs constantly, 50 lbs frequently and 110 lbs occasionally.
• The employee must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 120 lbs/force.
• The employee must be able to work in confined spaces requiring entry to 24\" x 24\" crawl spaces occasionally.
• The employee must be able to tolerate the above job demands on a regular schedule and as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.
• Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license.
• Must possess ability to obtain a CDL if requested.
