Job description

Per Diem Bus Aide

Location: Robbinsville Public Schools

Hourly Rate: $22.44 per hour (maximum 29 hours per week). Non- benefits eligible.

We are looking for a reliable and physically capable individual to assist with transportation operations during the 26‑27 school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bus operations, including opening and closing doors (approximately 25 lb to open and 10 lb to close).
• Remain a passenger in the vehicle for at least one continuous hour.
• Use a fire extinguisher to extinguish fires, lifting it to desk‑chair height (approximately 9 lb).
• Communicate clearly with staff, students, and the public.
• Interact positively with students and adults.

Qualifications

• Physical dexterity and ability to perform the above tasks.
• Good communication skills.
• Availability on school days with irregular schedules, such as early dismissals, snow days, aide shortages, and school emergencies.
