Job summary

Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart seeks a vigilant school nurse to serve PK-12 students, faculty, and staff. You will provide comprehensive healthcare, perform health screenings, and deliver health education in both individual and group settings.

The role requires an active Texas license (RN/LVN/NP/MD), confidentiality, and strong communication. CPR certification is expected; PK-12 experience is a plus. This is a full-time position on-site at the Houston, TX campus.

Qualifications

• Certified RN, LVN, Nurse Practitioner or Doctor who has a current Texas state license.
• Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.
• Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
• High level of competence using technology.
• Experience in a PreK–12 environments, preferably in independent schools.
• Strong references to convey your abilities.

Summary:

The Nurse serves the PK -12th grade students, Faculty, and Staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare to students, faculty, and staff
• Perform health screenings
• Providing health-related education to students and staff in both individual and group settings

Requirements

Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required

In the performance of his/her duties, Employee shall be guided by the Goals and Criteria of the Sacred Heart and the Catholic Faith. Candidates must also possess:

• Certified RN, LVN, Nurse Practitioner or Doctor who has a current Texas state license
• Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting
• Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information

Upon Hiring

• Successful completion of criminal offenders’ records information and sexual offender registry checks.
• Successful completion of CMG Safe Environment Training.
• Current CPR certification.
