Job summary

AmeriCorps in Illinois Chicago seeks a Y.O.U.th Serve Member for the OST program to support youth in afterschool and summer activities. You will provide academic support and help lead workshops on SEL and life skills, while building relationships with families, community members and school administration.

The role is part-time, with program dates 09/01/2026 - 08/20/2027, located in Chicago, IL. Education level required: Some college; age 17+ is expected.

Member Duties

Y.O.U.th Serve Members support youth by serving in Y.O.U.'s afterschool and summer programs. Y.O.U.th Serve Members will provide youth with crucial academic support and help lead workshops on social and emotional enrichment and life skills. Y.O.U.th Serve Members will also assist the program in building relationships with families, community members and school administration.
