Job summary

Harvest Midstream Company in Wyoming is seeking a Pipeline Operator to monitor, maintain and control the safe, healthy and environmentally sound operations of gas/oil pipelines. You will review prior shift logs, regulate flow, perform inspections, and ensure equipment runs reliably while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, reporting, pigging operations, data logging, and contributing to pipeline surveys.

Qualifications

  • Five years minimum pipeline experience with a combination of gas and liquid pipeline operations.
  • Ability to solve problems accurately and effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor prior shift logs, daily computer logs, and process boards.
  • Regulate flow and monitor pipeline operations; conduct studies and inspections.
  • Complete preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and arrange repairs.
  • Prepare pipeline reports; inspect for safety issues and wear.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through workshops and publications.
  • Maintain safe work environment in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor meter readings, test results, and adjustments; execute pigging and maintenance.
  • Participate in pipeline surveys, valve greasing and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform chemical injection tasks, freeze breaks, drip blowing, and truck scheduling.

Job Objective

  • Monitors and maintains operations by measuring and regulating flow of product.
  • Monitors and maintains pipeline by conducting studies and inspections.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Prepares pipeline reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Inspects equipment for safety problems, leaks, wear and tear, and makes or recommends appropriate repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by practicing pipeline standards, adhering to legal regulations, and conducting inspections.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas. Ability to consider safety in all decisions.

Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, And Registrations
  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Be able to obtain Operator Qualifications (OQ) as required by Company within the first 30 days.
