Job description

26-0136-WAR-10 | Refueler Maintenance and Recovery Technician — Warren AFB (Award Contingent)
  • Cheyenne, WY
  • Government/Military

Axyde Analytics, LLC is recruiting Refueler Maintenance and Recovery Technician personnel for anticipated DLA fuels services. Requisition 26-0136-WAR-10; 2 planned opening(s). All positions are award contingent. Employment depends on award, funded staffing needs, required Government approvals, verified qualifications and a mutually accepted written offer. Anticipated mobilization is April 2027, subject to the final Government schedule. Axyde is recruiting for the proposed team; final employer and operating‑partner assignments will be confirmed in any written offer.

THE ROLE

Refueler Maintenance and Recovery Technician: support safe, reliable aircraft and ground fuel services, accountable operations and a fully qualified site team within your assigned discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated heavy diesel and fuel‑servicing vehicle maintenance experience; pumps, valves, filtration, bonding, brakes and electrical systems; documented qualification for each inspection or test assigned. Appropriate CDL/endorsements and training before road testing or heavy‑recovery duties. Demonstrate safe heavy recovery, rated equipment use, hazardous‑energy control and spill prevention before assignment. Government fuel‑system overhaul is not this role. Do not perform statutory tank inspections or certifications without the required qualifications/registration.

Before unsupervised duty, complete applicable site orientation, safety, environmental/spill training, task qualifications and base access. Personnel clearances and system access must match actual duties. TM, acting‑TM and fuel‑accounting roles require appropriate clearances under the solicitation; final level/timing remains subject to Government confirmation. No clearance sponsorship is promised.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

Onsite at Warren AFB. Normal weekday services 0700–1800. Full‑time positions include primary, local relief and support assignments. Day, late, overnight surge, weekends, holidays and locally based recall may be required. Individual shifts, response availability, overtime and benefits will be agreed in the contingent offer. No employee will be counted on two simultaneous posts or at both sites.

ROLE‑SPECIFIC SKILLS AND VERIFICATION

Demonstrate fuel‑servicing vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive inspections, safe isolation, fuel‑compatible components, maintenance records and documented return to service. Distinguish aviation servicing acceptance, roadworthiness inspection and cargo‑tank testing.

Evidence and assignment prerequisites

Provide dated vehicle‑maintenance assignments, models/systems repaired, OEM or military training and inspection qualifications. State clearly whether you hold the separate experience/qualifications for applicable 49 CFR 396 inspections or 180.409 cargo‑tank inspection/testing. Ordinary mechanic experience does not authorize signing every statutory test.

Practical assessment

Diagnose a fuel leak/shutoff defect, describe safe removal from service and identify required post‑repair tests. Complete assigned‑equipment, safety and any driving qualifications before work. Required specialized tank tests may be performed by a qualified external provider.

During screening, provide dated role‑specific examples and course/license names, issuers, completion dates and expiration dates where applicable. Axyde will verify relevant evidence and assess practical competence before assigning independent duties. Current site‑specific permissions may be completed during mobilization; they do not waive required experience or credentials. Qualification is recorded for each named person and each primary/alternate task. Do not send Social Security numbers, medical records, license numbers or sensitive clearance documentation with the initial application; secure verification will be arranged.
