Job summary

NHS Dumfries & Galloway is seeking a Dental Nurse to provide patient-centred support in the Public Dental Service across multiple bases for 22.5 hours per week.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient-centred dental support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

This unique opportunity will see you providing direct and indirect support to both patients and the clinical team. The position is within PDS providing clinical support covering multi bases within PDS-including Dumfries Dental Centre, Galloway Community Hospital, Garden Hill Health Centre , Sanquhar Health Centre and HMP Dumfries for 22.5 hours per week.

Relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse and NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing are essential along with registration with GDC as a Dental Nurse. A sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a clinical environment are essential as well as the ability to find solutions to problems, deal with the pressure of a diverse clinic whilst retaining excellent and efficient communications skills.
