The Team Lead will ensure the clinical needs of each child are met through a multidisciplinary approach to care while fostering staff engagement and effective teamwork in our Inpatient Complex Medical Care program, where we provide 24-hour skilled nursing care in a family-focused environment. We care for children, teens, and young adults who are unable to live at home due to their complex medical needs.

Schedule
Flexible night shift schedule working 40 hours per week between the hours of 6pm-6am
What You'll Do
- Ensure staff provide care according to the child’s care plan and provide clinical care according to best practices as defined by Child Serve policy and practice manuals.
- Ensure staff document accurately, completely, and timely.
- Serve as a preceptor and ensure newly hired staff are competent to provide care.
- Manage staff performance and develop staff skills, talents and knowledge.
- Ensure supervised staff are current with all unit and Child Serve specific information.
- Address stakeholder feedback effectively, respectfully, and professionally.
- Ensure environment is maintained according to regulatory requirements.
- Provide direct care as assigned.
- Ensure adequate qualified staff to meet the needs of children within defined clinical model.
What You'll Need
- 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.
- Current valid license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa; RN preferred
- Documentation of current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
