Job summary

Employers Options in Makena, Hawaii seeks a General Laborer to support construction teams with daily site operations.

The role includes material handling, basic carpentry support, and safety-focused tasks on a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and follow supervisor directions.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction tools and materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA or construction safety training is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction activities and daily jobsite operations.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, demolition, installation, and other construction tasks.
• Perform basic site preparation and cleanup.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites; remove debris and excess materials.
• Measure, cut, move, and stage basic construction materials under supervision.
• Assist with deliveries and receiving of construction materials.
• Safely operate basic hand and power tools when trained and authorized.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of work areas.
• Follow directions from Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and skilled tradespeople.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or potential hazards.
• Assist with project completion, punch-list items, and final cleanup.

Soft skills: Strong work ethic and willingness to learn; dependable and punctual; ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team; able to work independently when assigned tasks; good communication skills; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and active jobsite conditions
