General Responsibilities

The teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and challenging learning environment. They utilize knowledge of adolescent development and content area expertise to educate a diverse student population. The teacher models lifelong learning through collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.

Major Duties
  • Designs, plans, and provides instruction using various methods and resources suitable for all learners.
  • Creates and maintains a positive learning environment.
  • Assesses student learning through formal and informal methods.
  • Keeps and maintains required records.
  • Communicates regularly with parents about student progress.
  • Collaborates with colleagues, parents, the community, and other agencies to support student learning.

Qualifications
