Job Overview

Queen of All Saints, located on the northwest side of Chicago, is seeking a Spanish language teacher for grades 6 - 8. The teacher will be responsible for teaching Spanish to grades 6-8 in a departmentalized setting and will serve as an I-Ready proctor.

General Responsibilities
  • Teach and act in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Act as a role model for the religious formation of students and as a representative of the Archbishop of Chicago and the Catholic Church
  • Know, teach, and act in accordance with the religious and educational mission, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Catholic school
  • Complete Catholic identity formation training and other professional development from the Archdiocese of Chicago
  • Lead or participate in religious instruction, ceremonies, rituals, or activities as directed
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and principal
  • Participate in professional development programs as required
  • Perform teaching duties as assigned
  • Attend faculty and staff meetings
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records
  • Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment
  • Participate in annual performance reviews
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters
  • Represent the school/parish positively at events and in the community
Requirements and Preferences
  • Practicing Catholic (preferred, required for religion teachers)
  • Must meet safe environment compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred)
  • Completion of Catholic identity formation training

Compensation

The annual salary range is $37,000 - $67,000 for lay teachers and $34,000 - $61,000 for religious teachers. Salary will depend on education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
