The Teacher is a qualified professional who meets all requirements to teach in a Catholic school within the Archdiocese. As a Catholic school teacher, the individual acts as a role model and representative of the Catholic Church, embodying its teachings and values. The Teacher is employed directly by and reports to the principal and is expected to adhere to the policies of the Archdiocese and the local school, fostering an environment aligned with Catholic educational and religious objectives.

General Responsibilities

As a professional educator, the Teacher will:

  • Teach in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings
  • Serve as a religious role model and representative of the Church
  • Align with the school's religious and educational mission and policies
  • Complete required Catholic identity and professional development training
  • Lead or participate in religious activities and instruction as directed
  • Maintain communication with students, parents, colleagues, and administration
  • Attend professional development and staff meetings
  • Perform assigned teaching duties and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Participate in performance reviews and school events
  • Maintain confidentiality and represent the school positively
Requirements and Preferences
  • Practicing Catholic (preferred, required for religion teachers)
  • Compliance with safe environment requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid state licensure preferred
  • Completion of Catholic identity formation training

Applicants must submit transcripts, resume, licensure documentation if available, and references. The salary range is $37,000 - $67,000 for lay teachers and $34,000 - $61,000 for religious teachers, based on experience and qualifications.
