The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 150+ elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. It is one of the largest private school systems in the United States. Its schools have received 96 Blue Ribbon awards from the U.S. Department of Education over the past 10 years.

St. Daniel the Prophet School has served the Garfield Ridge neighborhood of Chicago for the past 75 years. Through the support of our parish and families, we are able to offer a caring, faith-filled learning environment for our students in preschool through eighth grade. In order to support the over 550 students who attend our school, we focus on the individual needs of each child to ensure that everyone here can reach his/her full potential.

Our tremendous faculty and staff work tirelessly to develop a curriculum that is both rigorous and relevant, challenging our students to grow as life-long learners while instilling the Gospel values of our faith. Whether it’s through our core subjects (language arts, math, social studies, science, and religion) or Specials classes (physical education, computers, library, art, music, and Spanish), our students are provided with the opportunity to succeed.

At SDP, we offer our students technological resources to create a 21st century learning environment, including 1:1 Chromebook usage for third through eighth grade, 1:1 iPads for preschool through second grade, state of the art interactive Promethean boards, and a variety of web-based programs for instruction, progress monitoring, review, and practice. Additionally, we aim to help our students grow academically, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. We offer a wide range of athletics, extracurricular clubs, and family engagement opportunities, and our students attend weekly Mass to deepen their connection with Christ.

Instructional aides are expected to assist the classroom teacher the delivery of educational instruction and services to students. This role involves assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, student supervision, and providing academic support. The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student success.

This position has an hourly range of - $14.64 - $16.64. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
